Big Kids comes to Sydney
The DBA Big Kids Junior Development Camps comes to Sydney on April 10.
The camp program sponsored by Calci Yum provides a free basketball clinic for young deaf and hearing impaired kids from 5 - 15 years. Accredited DBA coaches using oral and Auslan will provide basic and advanced instruction to boys and girls wanting to play basketball.
The camp will be held on Saturday April 10 at Bankstown Basketball Stadium, Third Ave., Condell Park, from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
The Big Kids program is a for-runner of junior devlopment basketball clinics around Australia and people wanting to assist in this area should also come along to the camp.
DBA Officials, as well as officials from New South Wales Deaf basketball Club and Basketball NSW will be in attendance to provide info to parents and to assist children play the sport of basketball.
This is also a great opportunity for deaf and hearing impaired adults who currently play or who would like to play basketball, to come down and have a chat about the opportunities available in deaf basketball locally and internationally.
