Long serving DBA Board member retires

Michelle Jackson, the ever supportive Secretary for DBA, has announced she will retire from the DBA Board.

Michelle, who has been Secretary since 2007, has been a member of the DBA Board since 2004, and has performed a variety of roles in that time. Since filling the Secretary role, she has provided a very strong commitment to DBA and its members around the country. That commitment has ensured DBA has survived some difficult times.

Since joining the basketball family several years ago, Michelle has represented Australia as a player a number of times, most recently in her home town of Melbourne in 2005. Michelle has long supported the Jolimont Club in Melbourne, and still staunchly supports them at NDBCCs, coaching at Altona last year.

Michelle will retire from the Board next week at the DBA Board meeting and will be sadly missed. The position will be advertised shortly on this website.

The Board wishes to thank Michelle for unswerving support of deaf basketball over the years, and wishes her well in her future endeavors.
