Welcome to Deaf Basketball Australia's website.
The NDBCC ( National Deaf Basketball Club Championships ) is a very important opportunity for deaf and hard of hearing basketball players and supporters to meet and compete in a social environment. We are now entering a new era with this great competition, and we want you to be part of it.
The changes to the format will allow players to play with teams from any state, play with friends or simply form your own team. It will provide more opportunities for individuals and support the very important social side of the deaf community.Even if you don't have a team, you are very welcome to nominate individually and we will find a team for you to play in.
Another important change is the dramatic reduction of costs for nominating. The change in format and the change away from a peak holiday time has allowed a dramatic reduction in the cost of competing and for travelling to the event.
The addition of new divisions for junior, veterans and mixed competitions will allow more junior players and more experienced players to enjoy the great aspects of the NDBCC competition. While we believe it may take some some time to fill all of these divisions, it will create the opportunity and entice more players to attend the NDBCC.
This NDBCC, and those that follow, will provide an expanding competition that will compliment the social nature of the deaf community, and still provide a quality competition for the serious competitor.
Even if you are not a player, come along and support the teams, meet old and new friends, and just join in the great time with everyone....see you there....
